2. Hosting and server logs
Our website is hosted on Vercel infrastructure. When you visit, technical data such as your IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer, browser, operating system and response status may be processed in server logs to deliver the site securely and reliably. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Enquiries and journey planning
When you contact us, we process the information you provide, including contact details, travel dates, traveller details, preferences, budget and your message. We use it to answer your enquiry, prepare an individual proposal and, where applicable, perform a travel contract. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, for general customer communication, our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
If you voluntarily provide health, accessibility, allergy or religious dietary information, we process it only to plan and deliver the requested arrangements and ask for your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw that consent at any time; this may prevent us from arranging the affected requirement.
Contact-form enquiries are stored in Reiseria's internal operating system, which sends the operational notification after storage. If a journey is booked, necessary information may be shared with the hotels, guides, transport providers, destination partners and other suppliers required to plan and perform it. Some recipients may be outside the European Economic Area. We limit transfers to what is necessary and apply the safeguards required by data-protection law.
4. Newsletter
If you subscribe to travel notes, we process your email address to send the newsletter through Brevo. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, given when you submit the subscription form. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
5. Maps, media and external services
Interactive maps load map styles and geographic data from OpenFreeMap and jsDelivr/GitHub. The homepage video is delivered by Cloudinary. When these resources load, the provider receives technical connection data, including your IP address. This processing supports the presentation and functionality of our travel content and is based on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
WhatsApp, Calendly and our social-media profiles are external links. Data is sent to those providers only when you follow a link or otherwise interact with their service. Their own privacy terms then apply.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use necessary storage for access, language and currency preferences. With consent, we also use optional first-party storage for campaign attribution and non-essential interface prompts. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Details, names and durations are listed in our cookie policy.
7. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the stated purpose. Enquiry data is deleted when it is no longer required unless a contract, legal claim or statutory commercial and tax retention duty requires longer storage. Newsletter data is retained until consent is withdrawn, subject to a limited suppression record where needed to honour the withdrawal.
8. Your rights
Subject to the legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority, including the authority responsible for Berlin.
9. Security and updates
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. Internet transmission cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. We update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change.
